Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland
Alice’s
Adventures is a 70 minute multi-media stage production
integrating 16 actors, projected animation, and voice processed
text. Alice was created over two years of workshop
experimentation with UCI actors, animator/engineer and composer.
It was shown in workshop presentations in the UCI Barn,
and final full performances April 2000 in the Irvine Barclay
Theater. Reviewed by local press in California as “an
imaginative and wondrous production”, it was subsequently
selected for presentation at the international Monaco Danses
Dance Forum in December 2000, Dance and New Technologies
Category. The live performers interact with projected imagery
– there is an accent on causality between the synthesized
world and the live stage action. Despite deceptive appearances,
the only technical support needed for this work are a video
projector, and voice processor and microphone.
