The UC Irvine Ph.D. program requires a completed application and $60.00 fee ($80.00 for international applicants). All graduate applications are submitted electronically and must be supported by appropriate academic transcripts (two official transcripts per school attended), three letters of recommendation, GRE scores, and two writing samples, which should be mailed to the Drama Department separately.

International applicants: TOEFL scores are required as part of the application process; international applications are not complete without these scores. Further, international applicants should go to the UC Irvine International Center page, click on "Forms," then on "International Graduate Student," and complete the "Packet" for the year of application, as indicated. Official evidence of substantial financial resources is required of all prospective international students; though you may apply to the program before this evidence is forthcoming, the University cannot accept you without it.

Should your address change after you submit your application, it is important that you notify our office with your new address and phone number.

The deadline for the submission of your application fee and completion of your application, including submission of all transcripts, letters of recommendation, writing samples, and test scores is January 15th.

Please note that your application file will not be considered unless it is complete and inclusive of all required materials.
