The Santley Showcase --- View Showcase Website

The UCI Santley Showcase - "UCI COAST-TO-COAST" - is performed each Spring in both Los Angeles/Hollywood and New York City, showcasing the entire graduating MFA acting class. All expenses, including individual travel and per diem, have been provided in perpetuity by a very generous bequest from the Helen Travers Santley estate. Los Angeles theatres that have been used for this showcase include the Matrix, the Court, the Coast, and the Los Angeles Theatre Center.

Last year, UCI actors received over 125 requests for interviews with agencies and managers and over 300 requests for headshots. Over the past several years virtually all of our graduate actors have signed with top agencies and/or managers following the showcase.

The principal showcase director is Richard Brestoff, Professor of Film and TV Acting. Eli Simon, Chair of the Department, is the associate showcase producer. James Calleri, casting director at Playwrights Horizons, NYC, and various TV/film projects (NYPD Blue, The Crucible) is the NYC consultant.

The Showcase dates for this year are:

Monday and Tuesday, April 14 and 15, in Los Angeles at the Matrix Theatre
Monday, April 21, in NYC at the Theatre Row Theaters
