Award
winning Costume Designer Holly Poe Durbin has worked internationally,
creating costumes for theater, opera, US national tours, world
tours, television, film, themed entertainment and new media.
Her work has been seen on London's West End, Broadway, Off-Broadway,
in Japan, Germany and Spain as well as many US regional theaters
such as the Old Globe Theater, Mark Taper Forum, Geffen Playhouse,
Santa Fe Stages International Festival, the Huntington Theater
in Boston, the Cincinnati Playhouse, the Repertory Theatre
of St Louis and the Missouri Repertory Theater. Her television
and film work includes every level of work from set costumer,
costume construction management, wardrobe supervisor and costume designer.
Holly's teaching combines design aesthetics with leadership
skills and actual industry practice to prepare students for their
professional careers. Drawing on her various roles in the entertainment
industry, Holly emphasizes artistic expression, storytelling ability,
negotiating skills, and project management for creative teams.
