Assistant Professor Marcy Froehlich receives the Excellence in Teaching Award

Assistant Professor of Costume Design, Marcy Froehlich, has been chosen to receive the Excellence in Teaching Award for her notable actions as a member of the Claire Trevor School of the Arts Department of Drama.  Recipients of this award are hand-picked by the Dean of the School, Stephen Barker Ph.D., in response to their exceptional achievements as both teachers and mentors. Froehlich’s natural talent for costume design and her outstanding work as an assistant professor at the university has proven her worthy of such an award.  She has been chosen on behalf of her generous inclusivity of students of different majors into her costuming courses, as well as her dedication to the Chapman/UC Irvine collaboration for Film and Media studies that gives more opportunities for students at UCI to engage in film design. According to Holly Poe Durbin --- CTSA’s Head of Costume Design --- Froehlich “models ethical and responsible behavior and she ensures a creative, respectful and productive experience for our students.”  CTSA would like to congratulate Froehlich on this award and thank her for her hard work and dedication to its students.
